Sabatino&Co Roma, which has been selling truffles to high-end restaurants in the United States since 1999, is set to open a store at 130 Newbury Street, where the old Shu Uemura store used to be.
The Italian company, which registered the trademark Skin&Co in the United States last year, lists among the products that will be sold with its name goods and services such as cosmetic creams for skin care, perfumes and oils for cosmetic purposes.
In a June interview with the Wall Street Journal, company president Federico Balestra did not mention plans to expand the business in the world of cosmetic products, but in an October video interview on Bloomberg (below) he declared the truffle market is doing as well as ever.
