Antica Cavalcata Sarda in Sassari


The Cavalcata sarda is an ancient cultural and folkloric manifestation that takes place in Sassari (Northern Sardinia), usually the last Sunday of may, which consists in the parade on foot, on horseback or on traccas (the characteristic floats decorated with flowers and objects of everyday life), groups from every part of Sardinia. Participants wear costumes typical of the place of origin, often enhanced by manicured embroideries and jewels in filigree.
