The Italian American Cultural Organization of Boston’s South Shore held its annual Christmas party on Dec. 1.
Held at Braintree’s Grove Manor Estate, the feast was kicked off with a special tribute to organization founder Dominic Candelieri, who was named President Emeritus of the South Shore group.
Current President Richard Leccese introduced Candelieri and recounted the service and dedication that have always accompanied the Calabria native’s work.
Candelieri currently owns and runs Michelangelo Hair Salon in Braintree, and has been active in dozens of Italian American organizations throughout the years. IACO meets every first Monday of the month and is accepting new members on an ongoing basis.
