Even living in Venice for five years and curating major exhibitions of Venetian art does not necessarily prepare one to introduce the visual majesty of La Serenissima to non-Western viewers.
Save Venice Boston’s Apr. 26 talk at the Chilton Club, led by the MFA’s Chair of Art of Europe Frederick Ilchman, will explain the curatorial choices behind a large exhibition, opened in September 2015, at the MFA’s sister museum in Nagoya, Japan.
