A Tribute to Italian Song

The Dante Alighieri Society of Massachusetts in Cambridge celebrated Italian songs on Sunday, october 16, 2011, with performances by soprano Karen Fanale, composer Ferdinando Argenti, pianist Bradley Pennington and baritone Paul Soper.

The video is “Arrivederci Roma,” sung and performed by Ferdinando Argenti. Born and raised in Pisa, Italy, Argenti is a Boston-based pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger. He has performed many jazz concerts with both Italian and American jazz musicians, most notably Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Kenny Wheeler, Greg Hopkins, Herb Pomeroy and Paolo Fresu.
