On April 23, Messina Conservatory’s Cettina Donato will take part in the ongoing Allegro concert series by Sounds of Italy Festival in Boston.

Born and raised in Sicily, Cettina is a classical and jazz piano player, composer, arranger and conductor. She graduated in Jazz Composition and Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She also graduated in Classical and Jazz piano and Composition, in Musical Didactic at Conservatory “A. Corelli” of Messina (Italy) and has a degree in Social Psychology at the University of Messina.

Cettina performed as conductor and arranger collaborating with symphony and jazz orchestras, including the Late Night Jazz Orchestra (Los Angeles, CA), Cettina Donato Orchestra (Boston, MA), New Talents Jazz Orchestra (Rome, Italy), Symphony Metropolitan Orchestra of Bari (Bari, Italy), Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra (Boston, MA), Symphony Orchestra of Messina (Messina, Italy). She has been the International President of Women In Jazz South Florida (Fort Lauderdal, FL) and has worked as piano accompanist for the Boston Ballet (Boston, MA).
