6-alma-antiguaAlma Antigua: Cassan/Muratore/Pignataro is a trio exploring original music and arranged existing compositions from the Mediterranean regions and Latin America in a chamber jazz context, while maintaining the connection to its folkloric roots. The combination of soulful and haunting melodies with modes and resonances from these geographical areas creates a very original springboard for improvisation, moving musical dialogs and creative interpretations.

Roberto Cassan: Accordion
John Muratore: Guitar
Marco Pignataro: Soprano & Tenor Saxophone

Allegro is a concert series organized by the Sounds of Italy Festival, in collaboration with I AM Books, with the support of NEMPAC.
