On Thursday, April 14, Giandomenico Magliano, Director General for Globalization at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was in Boston to talk about international governance for a sustainable development from a European perspective. The main topics discussed were global finance, energy and climate change.
The event held at the Harvard Kennedy School was organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Boston alongside the Italian Society at Harvard Kennedy School.
A graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School in 1981, where he earned a Master in Public Administration, Magliano has been promoted to the rank of Ambassador in early 2010 by the Italian Council of Ministers. Among his previous assignments, Magliano has been Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Cultural Promotion and Cooperation, Director General for Development Cooperation and Director General for Economic and Financial Multilateral Cooperation.
