Based out of Continuum’s West Newton headquarters, Di Vaio will oversee the global human resources strategy to attract, retain, develop and reward the best and brightest minds that will ensure Continuum’s growth and success around the world.“Giovanni’s management expertise and diverse international experience in Europe, North and South America and Asia will serve us well as we grow globally,” said Harry West, CEO of Continuum. “And his proven success in organizations ranging from publishing to financial services is both a great fit internally for our human-centered, creative culture and a great match externally for our focus on service design.”
Di Vaio has more than 20 years working as a human resources executive, focusing on global talent review, management, succession, compensation and executive coaching.
Prior to joining Continuum, he was worldwide HR head for the Benetton Group in Italy, where he managed human resources for 9,000 employees in more than 10 countries, including the U.S. He led the reorganization of businesses in the U.S., China and Japan, while driving greater managerial accountability and a stronger pay-for-performance culture. At SKY Italia, a News Corporation-owned, $3.3 billion pay-TV broadcaster, he developed a solid HR foundation as the company experienced explosive growth, and he was instrumental in the creation of the first company-wide, competency-based system to support talent development.
Prior to SKY Italia, Di Vaio held senior level HR positions with organizations such as The Reader’s Digest Association, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and American Express.
“I’ve always had great respect for Continuum,” said Di Vaio. “I am thrilled to put my experience to work here to grow the company globally and collaborate with such a talented group of people.”
