Joseph Ferrino honored by Freedoms Foundation


At the recent award ceremony of the Freedoms Foundation’s Bay State chapter, retired Judge Joseph V. Ferrino was honored with the foundation’s national award. “Since 1949, the Freedoms Foundation has recognized good citizenship through our George Washington Honor Medal,” said national President and CEO Michael DiYeso. “Each year, our 30 volunteer chapters nationwide celebrate local adults, students, military and others in the area of patriotism, responsible citizenship and community involvement.” Judge Ferrino was awarded the “Spirit of ’76” medal, the highest award given out by the Foundation.
