Boston was awash in green, white and red on May 31, when the third italianissimo! gala organized by the Friends of the Italian Cultural Center was held. Sister Cities Boston and Padova Join Forces for Second Edition of italianissimo!

Celebrating 30 years as sister cities, Boston and Padova came together on Friday, June 7, at the Boston Public Library for the second annual italianissimo! gala event. Raising funds for the promotion of Italian language and culture, as well as for the creation of a future Italian Cultural Center in Boston, the event was organized by the Italian Consul General of Boston Giuseppe Pastorelli and was was co-chaired by Mayor Thomas M. Six months after hosting its first successful fundraising event “italianissimo!,” the Public Charity “Friends of the Italian Cultural Center of Boston/FICCB” was launched in December 2012 with the aim of creating a Center of Italian Culture in Boston and to ensure its management and operation once it opens.
