When Fulbright scholar Francesco Cesareo studied at the University of Rome and at the Pontifical Gregorian University he was struck by the splendor of ‘The Eternal City’ with its ancient medieval streets, cascading renaissance fountains, and magnificent Christian art. As a scholar with a particular interest in late medieval and early modern European history, he marveled at the architecture as well as the many cultural exhibits all around him.
